Garden Office and Playroom, Brighton

Sophie and Hugh had an old summer house at the top of their garden, and wanted it replaced with a contemporary, flexible and airy room. Both work from home, and while they wanted enough room for desk-space, they also wanted a multifunctional family room for their children to use too. To allow in lots of light, we included a large full length casement window to one side and for ventilation we added a top hung window on the front and rear. We incorporated the slope of the garden by building a deck area to the front of the 3m wide bi-fold doors with a planter to soften the view from the house. The result is a stunning, modern-looking garden room with enough space for the whole family to work and play.
